This Wide Body 2014 Mustang Has A Sad Secret…

While perusing eBay this morning, pretending that we have money, we came across an awesome looking wide body 2014 Mustang:

Pretty cool right? It even has an old school IMSA vibe to it from the front. There was obviously a lot of work put into this car, and the 2014 Mustang was probably the best looking model year of S-197 generation. We’ve got stripes, customs badges, custom headrests, and a decent tire & wheel package. Looking good so far! So imagine our surprise as we scrolled through the images and were met with this:

Widebody 2014 Mustang V6

Yup, all that work for a 3.7L V6 powered Mustang. Even better, it is an automatic. And while the 3.7L V6 does put out an honest 305 horsepower and 280 lb./ft. of torque, we are guessing that with the addition of the bodywork and the larger wheels the poor car is probably HEAVIER than it was when it left the factory. Luckily the cold air kit is there to help unleash the true power potential of the six shooter. If someone gave it to us we’d immediately call Scott Hoag at MRT and have him duplicate his TKO treatment on the car.

All this can be yours for a buy-it-now prices of just $55k!  What a bargain! Now what else could you have bought in 2014 for $55k? Think…think…think…oh yeah, a Shelby GT500 with 662 horsepower and 6-speed manual transmission! Our best explanation is that this was an ex-SEMA car that would only be displayed with the hood closed. Anyone else want to chime in on why they think this car exists?
