Forty-two years ago Peter Yates’ gritty police drama became a cult classic as the King of Cool, Steve McQueen, pilots a 1968 Ford Mustang GT (390) through the streets of San Francisco. It’s the chase scene. For the two-hour season finale of the hit FOX TV series Alcatraz (airing tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT), executive…

Barn Find 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 in Death Valley

You are just a likely to find a vintage Mustang hidden away in an Amish barn as your are to find one on Death Valley, California. That is why we were surprised when a Massachusetts man ran across this “barn find” Shelby in one of the least likely places on earth, the Mojave Desert. The blistering sun, lower humidity, and desert winds splintered the paint and bleached the interior, but kept rust at bay. The Race: Video of the Day From the Ford Mustang Club In Poland

Those of you who’ve driven on North Rolling Road in Baltimore, Maryland  have probably noticed a maroon, 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang parked “On the Street”. The pony car belongs to Ed Crowl, 70, who bought it in 1977 and drove it until 2006. “My first car was a 1965 Mustang, so when I found out about the 1964 1/2 I couldn’t resist,” said the longtime Catonsville resident Crowl, an antiques dealer and owner of the Wagon Wheel in Ellicott City, also played the clarinet for…
