Old Jeep Commercial Shows How Versatile Vintage Jeeps Could Be

Jeep, Goes most anywhere… Does most anything. We’re really not sure what to think about the intro to this 1960 Jeep commercial. Buster Keaton was no doubt the king of silent film comedy, but we think the ad execs were reaching a bit by wrangling him into doing this commercial. Regardless, what is awesome about this commercial is that is shows just how hard Kaiser-Jeep tried to make the CJ into a farmer’s dream vehicle. The civilian Jeep CJ was known as the Universal for…

Retro Cinema: How To Waterproof Your MB Jeep

Here at Motor City Muscle Cars were absolutely love vintage Jeeps. This old War Department Signal Corps training film is all kinds of awesome. First we see what appears to be a complete waterproofing kit in a crate. We’d love to know what that kit is worth today intact. Second, we learn about our friend the water proofing material, which of course features that marvel of modern technology ASBESTOS! Yes, the main component in the kit is a five gallon bucket of asbestos laden play…

Found On eBay: 1982 Jeep Scrambler Ambulance Conversion

{{unknown}}Scramblers are awesome, let’s just go ahead and make that statement now. While the short wheelbase of the CJ is great offroad, there are times when a bit more room is a welcome addition. The folks at Horton Ambulance (still in business by the way) saw the potential of the Scrambler chassis as a nice mid-size all-terrain ambulance.

Mopar 2012 Jeep Mighty FC Concept Gallery

I’ve always been a fan of the Jeep Forward Control and the Ford Econoline light pickup trucks from the 1960’s. Its not often we see a concept vehicle that recreates the iconic style of its legendary predecessor so well, but the Jeep’s Might FC manages to do just that. The design team started with a 2012 Wrangler Rubicon and repositioned the cabin over and ahead of the front axle, lengthened the wheelbase, and added a custom built drop-side cargo box. The cab utilizes a roof from the Mopar JK-8 conversion…

2012 Mopar Jeep JC-12 Pickup Truck Concept Gallery

We were ready to pan the 2012 Jeep JC-12 concept as a just a reprisal of the Nukizer M715 concept, but the more I see of the JC-12 the more I like it. First Leaked Images of Jeep Might FC and J-12 Pickup Concepts Prior to Moab

Moab has become the Auto Show of choice for Mopar and Chrysler to unleash their hottest new concepts that hint to the future for the rugged off road brand. This year Jeep is not disappointing. They continue to build a frenzy of support for a Jeep based pickup truck that is liable to debut in late 2014 as a 2015 model, when the Wrangler gets refreshed. This shot from Automobile‘s Phil Floraday’s Twitter account shows that the Mighty FC is truly a Jeep’s answer for the Unimog, thought production in the States in…
